  Transfer Credit

Northwestern College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools -- the accrediting agency for all major colleges and universities in the region. The partnership between Northwestern College and Dayspring Center for Christian Studies has been approved by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

Students who take credit courses register as special (non-degree) students of Northwestern College. Upon successful completion of a class (C- or higher), students fill out a "Transcript Release" form, which is sent to Northwestern College. A transcript with a grade for the class is then sent by Northwestern College to the college or university of the student's choice.

Students who are concurrently enrolled in another college or university and are seeking transfer credit should first consult with their academic advisor. All students are responsible for knowing the transfer credit policies of the university, college and degree program in which they are enrolled, and for securing approval in advance where necessary and/or appropriate.
